How It Began

One curious day, not too long ago, something unexpected happened at the North Pole. Santa Claus — usually busy reading letters, preparing gifts, and managing the Christmas calendar — suddenly picked up a paintbrush. And then a marker, a pencil, a quill. And then he wouldn’t stop.

Mrs. Santa and the elves were baffled. Santa had never painted before, and now there were sketches, colors, and glitter everywhere. It was messy. It was joyful. And it was clear: Santa had discovered a new way to spread magic.

But even the jolliest hobby needs a little peace and quiet.

So, after some cheerful hustle and bustle, the idea was born: Santa needed his very own creative space. A workshop in the heart of Rovaniemi — where he could paint, draw, create, and occasionally hum a little Christmas tune while doing it.

Thus, the Official Santa Claus City Office came to life. Not just a workshop, but a place where visitors can meet Santa all season long, feel the magic of his art, and perhaps even create something of their own.

From 15th November to 15th April, the Santa Claus City Office is open to everyone who believes. You can meet Santa in person, snap a photo together, and even catch a performance by his talented helper — whose singing voice has been known to make snowflakes pause midair.
